The Bicycle Village
Grandma's Gardens is a one and one half mile, peaceful walk through ribbons of flowers, ornamental grass, native grasses, colorful meadows, and horse pastures.  Sit on benches around the 8 acre lake, picnic, or throw in a line. Thousands of butterflies patrol the gardens, and bird watching and photography are easy to practice here.   Sue Lee was a prolific flower gardener, and she left her passion to her scores of kids and grandkids. Come see what she taught us.

Here are the four packages: 1 - Private Premium Paddock - $350/ Month Your horse has his or her own spacious one-half to one-acre individual paddock with personal shelter. Lightly grassed or fully dry lots are available. The paddocks sit up on a slight ridge overlooking the lake. It's very beautiful. These are easy access and close to the feed room, tack rooms, round pen, playground, petting animals, and clubhouse. Discount is available for a second or third horse, subject to paddock availability. Some paddocks have security camera access so you can see your horse whenever you want. 2 - Paired In Full Pasture - $300/month. The pastures at Lake Georgia-Sue are all tree-lined meadows with a lot of shade and a lot of room to be a horse. Your horse shares the pasture with one or two other horses. Over the years this has been our most popular option. It's wonderful to see the horses in a natural environment.  3 - Group Paddock Economy - $250/month. This option is for all those folks who have easy keeper horses and need to be on a budget. Your horse will have three or four other friends (mares and geldings separate) in a spacious paddock with a round bale, shelter, daily water, and all the necessary things to be healthy. This option does not come with the wider property amenities that are described elsewhere. No daily supplemental feeding is provided in the group pasture. It is strictly for easy-keeper horses folks who are not interested in taking advantage of the rest of the property. We get a lot of calls for this option from people who live far from their horse, are transitioning, going away to college, or find themselves in tight financial situations but don't want to get rid of their horses. The paddocks are easy access. The group paddocks have security camera access so you can see your horse whenever you want. Group Economy pasture services: 24-7 quality round bale Daily fresh water Visual inspection twice daily Scheduled vet, farrier, chiropractor, and teeth floating days. Mineral block Build Your Own Ranch If you have ever dreamed of having your own horse facility, but it's just too far of a stretch, we have 85 acres here. We can carve out a place where you can set up a permanent presence with an RV, your own pasture, your own round pen, your own shelters, etc. You have a full staff ready to serve you and make sure that your little piece of heaven is well taken care of. Pricing for this option is not formally set. But if you come out, we can narrow down your needs. You'll have one of the most unique horse owning situations in the region. All of the above services and amenities are provided with this package.
We are located 6 mi west of Ottawa just off route 68.  This is a very unique and beautiful property, comprising 85 acres of meadows, pastures, forest, an 8-acre lake, and trailhead access to the Flint Hills Nature Trail.  The property has two miles (yes, 2 miles!) of walking flower gardens, woodsy trails, camping, fishing, bicycling, and many other family-oriented amenities. It is a wonderful place for families, and of course for horses.  There are few places in the Midwest as beautiful to keep or ride your horse.  We have had boarders from an extended area, including Topeka, Kansas City, Kearney, Joplin, Emporia, Wichita, Iowa, Lincoln, Pittsburg, and Independence.  People are willing to travel a little bit further because when they come to visit with their horse, there are so many other things to do, and it's such an enjoyable place that many of them spend the full day.  And most of our boarding packages come with free camping each month.  So you can camp and visit your horse, or in some cases you can camp WITH your horse in one of our beautiful meadows.
